Frequently asked questions
How do you score Yahtzee?
Upper section: add up only the dice of that number (three 4s in Fours = 12). Lower section: 3 or 4 of a kind = total of all five dice, full house 25, small straight (4 in a row) 30, large straight (5 in a row) 40, Yahtzee (five of a kind) 50, chance = total of all dice.
What is the upper section bonus?
If your Ones to Sixes add up to 63 or more, you get a 35-point bonus. 63 is three of each number. The score card shows how many points you still need.
How does the Yahtzee bonus work?
If you roll another Yahtzee after scoring 50 in the Yahtzee box, you get a 100-point bonus (and play the roll in another box, "joker" rules). If you scratched the Yahtzee box with a 0, there is no bonus.
Can I play with more than two players?
Yes, up to 8. Add names at the top; each player gets a column. Scores stay on your phone even if the screen locks.
